The place is beautiful. I really appreciate a bartender who make me another cocktail cause it was too strong for me and didn’t charge again. The only thing I didn’t like too much was a burger. Kind of tasteless. But the mussels were delicious

Seamless experience for a wonderful celebration for our newly married friends. The food was terrific. The wine and drink selection was great for all.

Columbia Firehouse was a great little find. The menu has lots of options featuring fresh twists on American classics. Food is spot-on: fried chicken and waffles was perfection and the kale and radicchio salad was fresh and light and nicely balanced. Our server couldn't have been a nicer or more accommodating guy. The space is airy and bright and makes for a very nice brunch setting. Go with friends or take parents.

Good restaurant, fine food, nice place.

Made a reservation for brunch. The restaurant is very pretty. The staff is hospitable. The food was alright. Entrees were definitely in the right price point. Calamari app was not on the other hand, portion was very small and not something I would order again. Staff knows the menu and was a little too honest in recommendation (don’t get this or that). Plan on trying it again but probably would stick to the bar.

What a delight! It was a cold winter's night as we walked briskly along the streets of Old Town Alexandria. Coming into this charming, warm restaurant was a very welcome change. The decor is lovely, the service very good and the food is tasty. We were very happy with our whole meal. It is both kid friendly and a fun hangout for adults, which is hard to accomplish. We recommend going for a nice dinner or just a drink at their inviting bar.P.S. The biscuits were almost worth fighting over!

So this place was stated to be one of the coziest places to dine in Virginia. After experiencing some amazing food and service from others mentioned my wife and I decided this would be a great place for an outing with my parents and brother. We made reservations for 5 without any issues. Upon arriving we were shown to our table set for five that barely fit all of us. Apparently the booths only sit 4 so they thought a table would work better even though it's the same table they use at the booth. Quickly finding ourselves fighting for elbow room, we enjoyed the oysters and calamari to start. As soon as we finished, our meals quickly came out. Trays were quickly cleared as fast as the last bite of food was eaten. We were in and out in less than 50 minutes from the time we sat down. For the price of $300 for 5 we were expecting a bit less of a rush. So we chose to skip the dessert.

Excellent food and excellent service. I love this place. Very professional and their pork chop was so good. Relaxed environment and friendly place. Not loud, very comfortable. Prices are not bad either.

Always good, and pretty cheap during happy hour! Small but well-curated selection of beers. Great oysters, for $1 each during happy hour! Good food otherwise at more normal prices.I typically sit at the bar, and service is always great. I’ve had meals in the dining room on a couple occasions and they were excellent as well. A larger menu - which is also available at the bar if you ask - but typically service is just a bit slower.

Probably went on the wrong day! Sat in the bar area and ordered off the bar menu. Half of the items were not available, however the chicken sandwiches we ordered were very tasty. The restaurant was packed and the food on the tables looked good. Will definitely come back and try the restaurant.

Had the buffalo wings and Cobb salad. Both were really, really good. Bit pricey for what it was and the menu was...... uninspired. It’s a beautiful building though and has good potential. Wasn’t a bad meal just wasn’t as “special” as I hoped it would be.

Being new to this state and city, my friends and I hastily chose this place and without much research because we expected something very casual. Upon entering, I felt a little (ok a lot) underdressed but no one made us feel that way. VERY nice visually. The complimentary biscuits and honey were delicious. Two orders of beef bourguignon and one steak frites were crowd pleasers. Calamari for appetizer. No room for dessert. Loved it but next time I'm dressing up a little!

This place is amazing, our new go-to place when guests come into town. One of the few places in old town Alexandria that has not fallen into the trap of mediocrity due to the high volume of visitors (like the majority of the restaurants in old town unfortunately). Everything we ate was excellent, HOWEVER the Thai Curry Mussels were the highlight of the meal. Simple yet unique, defiantly a must try. Then if the food and atmosphere were not enough our server Bianca just made the night. She was helpful, upbeat, and simply wonderful. Oh and they have a legit happy hour as well.

We sat in the little courtyard, it had great ambiance and the food was very tasty. Our waiter and the general manager were great! Monday nights are half price wine night so we were able to get a very nice bottle to have with our anniversary dinner!

Excellent service. Bartenders are personal and friendly. Very customer focused. Good bartenders create good customers and a positive vibe. Food is good ... 50/50 burgers are big and a bit on the salty side.

Fabian is the best server my husband and I have had in a long time! I work in the food service industry and honestly, I know good service is hard to come by! We were out celebrating our anniversary and Fabian did everything in his power to try to make the occasion special for us. The food is expensive, but delicious! We’ve been here before and gotten basic service. Fabian interacted with us and made us feel welcome! The meal was fantastic and the service was the best this time around!

We visited this place late on a Sunday, they had the bar menu available for food. Great variety of drinks; we ordered the Firehouse burger which came with cheese, bacon, garlic aioli and BLT, it was a decent burger specially for a late night menu, it didn't have a lot of flavor but it wasn't bad. The service was great and order came out fast.

The atmosphere is quaint and relaxing, but that's basically the best thing about this place. The ribeye was flavorless and expensive. It's as though they don't even use salt or pepper. The parm fries were okay, but nothing special. The service was mostly good aside from the fact that they literally tried to TAKE MY PLATE AWAY FROM ME AS I WAS STILL EATING!!! Who does that?! I felt so rushed and uncomfortable after that.. Trying to take food from a pregnant lady is a terrible idea. I wouldn't recommend it.. I wish it had been better, but at least the atmosphere was nice.

Being dog-friendly in a dog-friendly town had been what endeared the place to us during a past visit. That policy has apparently changed--only service dogs are now allowed in the outdoor area. The food is passable but I'd recommend other locations for those with dogs and/or more discerning tastes, such as Taverna Cretekou (we just discovered the Sunday brunch buffet), Virtue Feed & Grain, etc.

Beautiful place inside and out. The bar area has very classic feel to it with its ornate wooden crafting and silver ceiling. Food is very good, but most of my experience is sitting at the bar. They have excellent bartenders who make delicious cocktails. They are often working on some type of special concoction. The craft beer selections is also fantastic, they rotate beers about every other week. Also, great happy hour M-F - 3 PM-7 PM.

I've only been for my husbands annual Christmas party but the customer service is always great. We have a set menu for the dinner and the squash soup, crab cakes, and apple pie crumble are pretty good. The area for the private party was great, very cozy, and welcoming, looks great with the Christmas tree too. Great wine as well!

Dark interior that has a rustic charm. Good happy hour offerings and varied menu is sure to please everyone. It definitely gets busy, and it seems the busier it gets the less often you will see your server, sometimes too long. Otherwise, service is great and staff are happy to help.

The place is amazing, and the bar area looks gorgeous - especially with the Christmas decorations. But the roof of the restaurant room can be leaky at times. And the person who first installed us at our table was pretty weird (even though the table service was awesone!).

Had scallops $31 (4 scallops total) extremely tasty, companions had firehouse burger $16 (quality burger). Beer on tap $7. Shrimp appetizer $21. Very tasty meal, amazing service!

Always satisfied here: great creative and delicious food, nice service, and good beer/wine selections. Haven't tried their cocktails yet, but they look interesting. Every time I visit, whether it's brunch, lunch, or dinner, there is something exceptional here. Quality dining experience.

First time visiting Alexandria and what a spectacular experience. Decided to grab lunch and found Columbia Firehouse. Love the ambience, music and the food is to die for. I’ve never had such an amazing burger! Elmer provided exceptional service and hospitality. He is a gem. Once I return home, I’m sure to have Firehouse cravings. Thank you!

My wife and I went here on a date night. The filet is fantastic, just the right amount of seasoning, cooked perfectly. We also ordered the burger. We split our meals half and half LOL. Our cocktails were great...I recommend the Gold Rush. Fries were typical but the Mac & Cheese had the smoky bacon flavor...delicious. I wish I could move this place to Indiana! Highly recommended.

First time here the other night. Would highly recommend! Great ambiance! The salmon entree was superb, although it left me a little hungry still as it was a small portion. My wife’s burger was great as well and the cocktails were on point! Fabian was our server and he was nice as can be, very prompt and helpful!

Fun atmosphere and delicious food. Make sure to ask to sit in the enclosed patio, and enjoy the exposed brick walls and old decor. The prices are on the pricier side, but the food was great. Definitely get the melted jack cheese as an appetizer.

Fab brunch in the old Fire Station in Alexandria. Bit pricey but the food is delicious. Highly recommend the hash. Good bottomless coffee too. We turned up without a reservation, but most other good places in town you needed to book. Fab selection of beers too.

Always good for a late night bite and drinks, with some great conversation.

Actually came here for a wedding, and though I don't know all of the behind the scenes details. They did an amazing job with handling everything. The staff was on point with transitioning and setting up throughout the event, and the venue upstairs from the bar was beautiful and spacious.
